Our two months of green have arrived in Fort Collins. This image shows some farms in the valley of LaPorte, taken from Reservoir Ridge Natural Area in Fort Collins. LaPorte is nestled into a little valley between the first row of hogbacks and the foothills.
I fully confess that this shot took some work to look good, shot as it was just shy of noon on a cloudless day. The polarizer filter couldn’t do much with it, but the Mac could. I boosted the contrast and added some saturation to the blues and greens. The original photo is shown below, so you can see what kind of chicanery goes on in my digital darkroom.
