Dorinna and I took a ski trip to Steamboat Springs last weekend. On the drive out there on Saturday, we stopped for a cross-country ski trip near Rabbit Ears pass. Late afternoon light, and a gathering snowstorm made for some good photography.
It will come as no surprise that this is a Photomatix shot from three different exposures, followed up with black and white processing in Silver Efex Pro (this time using their “landscape” preset). Yes, this was taken with a point-and-shoot camera…
The next day we took advantage of that snowstorm by enjoying 10 fresh inches of powder on the mountain.
