This week we visited the Christkindlmarkt in Denver. This was a small Christmas market, done in the style of the great Christkindlmarkts in Germany. The photo below is one of the Dicken’s Carolers, a singing group that performed that day.
I used Photoshop Elements to put the singer into a separate layer. I then lowered the saturation and contrast of the background to make the singer stand out more. Silver Efex Pro was used to convert the photo into the antique-style black-and-white shot you see above.
