My neighbor Gus called me up to tell me there was a hawk in the neighborhood. I grabbed my longest zoom and the tripod, and proceeded to follow the hawk from the front yard to the back yard. In a period of 4 minutes, 37 seconds, I shot 188 photos. I also soaked my feet- that’s what happens when you trudge around with a tripod through 9” of snow and you wear sandals.

Dorinna tells me it’s an immature Cooper’s Hawk.
