The first image in the series is a blur of bright yellow and red. It’s the look of a rushing Union Pacific locomotive.
Or is it? It’s really an M-scale toy locomotive sitting static on my dining room table. Motion blur was added by panning the camera on a tripod with a slow shutter speed. I took about 50 images to make sure I got one that I liked. Boosted the colors a bit by tone-mapping the image with Photomatix.
Technical Data: Canon 7D; EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM; f/2.8 at 1/20; ISO 100; Photomatix.
