Earlier this year, we took a three-night trip to Joshua Tree National Park. I shot hundreds of photos, and have only now finished my editing (actually, I still haven’t even edited the family shots). In early evening of the second night, I went driving to shoot the sunset.
I used the graduated neutral density filter from Nik Software’s Color Efex Pro to add detail back into the foreground while keeping the rich colors of the horizon intact.
Technical Data: Canon G12; f/4.5 at 1/600; ISO 160; Color Efex Pro.
