I’ve started another new project. This one is tentatively titled “Hay Rakes” and contains pictures of… Hay Rakes. I love the contrast between the almost-organic spiral patterns and the hard metal of the material. I find them very geometrically interesting. I’m not sure yet where this project will go, but here is what I have so far. You’ll note that they are all in black-in-white (with one mildly colored exception). This is funny, because I was first attracted to a bright yellow and red hay rake in an Oklahoma field. Nevertheless, it puts the focus on the geometry and texture of the metal, which is where I want it to be.
