I’ve finished processing my photos from Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, and it’s time to start publishing them here. Although the colors were quite nice, I found myself drawn to black & white instead to highlight the textures. The shot below is from a rather tight slot canyon. Footprints can be made out in the sand to provide a little bit of scale- it was a tight squeeze. As mentioned in earlier posts, the rock here is not sandstone, but is instead relatively new rock formed from volcanic debris.
