During our vacation last summer, we visited an area called Jones Hole in Dinosaur National Monument. This is a remarkable spot. A crystal-clear trout stream pours out of the ground at a massive spring, and goes down through a canyon for four miles until it hits the muddy waters of the Green River. Along the way is a strip of box elder trees and lush vegetation, surrounded all around by a desert landscape. We did an overnight backpack in this beautiful canyon. Here are some images I made on the trip.
