On most days in the office I eat lunch at my desk and then go for a short walk in the early afternoon.  My route varies everyday, and on this particular Wednesday I wandered up to Willow Street.  The sky was a brilliant blue and when I saw this building of white bricks I knew I had found my favorite image of the week:

Brick and Blue

Fujifilm X-T2, Fujinon XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro, f/14 at 1/1000, ISO 400.

Digital Darkroom.  Processing this image was as straightforward as can be.  I straightened out the bricks to be parallel to the edge of the frame— apparently I’m incapable of doing this in-camera, even when I try.  A touch of contrast, two dashes of clarity, and I was done.

WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh.  This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
