Last week I had a conference in San Antonio, Texas. A had about an hour to walk around the city before the conference madness began. I used that time for a walk on the Riverwalk, which is a canal that runs through the city. San Antonio has turned it into a kind of park, sidewalks on both sides, with trees, bridges and other decorations. In some areas, bars and restaurants line the water. The Riverwalk feels like a different city, but you always get glimpses up and out. I had a fun time experimenting with my new iPhone X. I like the fact that it has two lenses. The “telephoto” is really only a 52mm lens, but it’s still a significant change from the wide-angle phone lens I’m accustomed to. For this particular shot, I captured a high-rise apartment building at just the perfect time of sunset for one side of the building to be perfectly aglow. This became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. I cleaned up a few stray sparkles of sunlight. Otherwise just adjusted contrast, vibrance, and clarity.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
