I’ve been slowly resuming my daily photo while in work. Taking an afternoon walk and shooting a few pictures is a part of my routine that I don’t want to lose, even if the daily photo obligation has subsided. This time I might have raised the camera to my eyes before I physically left my office doorway. The light and the clouds were just right, and this became my favorite image of the week.
Clouds over Fort Collins
Fujifilm X-T2, Fujinon XF 18-55 f/2.8-4 R LM OIS at 55mm, f/9 at 1/1700, ISO 200.
Digital Darkroom. I shot this into sun, so the camera naturally exposed for the clouds and let the foreground stay in the shadows. I lowered the exposure more, and then raised highlights and whites to bring the white back into the clouds. I converted to black & white and played with the color mix to finish it off.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
