My monthly trips to Redlands begin with dinner in the Denver International Airport on Sunday night. One of my favorite restaurants in the airport is Root Down. In addition to good food and better wine, there’s also some interesting decor. In the back of the restaurant, one ceiling is covered with illuminated globes. I’ve photographed this before, and it’s distinctive enough that I will probably try again. I’m amused to note that these globes are on the home page of the restaurant website. This became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. When I’ve shot this in the past, I went with a realistic look. This time around, I decided to have some fun. This time I used Snapseed to give it more pizazz. I used the (fake) HDR adjustments, as well as the Glow adjustment to make it really pop. I finished the image off with the usual contrast and color tweaks.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
