Sometimes you just get lucky. We were in Boulder in take my cousin Laura out to dinner for her birthday. It had been raining that day, and after dinner the clouds around the mountain finally broke. This became my favorite image of the week.

Dusk in Boulder

Fujifilm X-T2, Fujinon XF 18-55 f/2.8-4 R LM OIS at 50.5 mm, f/8 at 1/125, ISO 200.

Digital Darkroom. I started by eliminating some distractions in the foreground by cropping, and then removing a number of building lights. After that, my job was to emphasize the fog and light, which I did by adjusting exposure, contrast, whites, and dehaze.

WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
