Once again, my favorite artistic colors of blue and yellow make an appearance. The other appearance was by long-time friend Kevin McNinch, who stopped by for a visit after running some errands in town. We wanted to go for a short afternoon hike, so headed over to the Foothills Trail on the east side of town. This image shows the remains of Hughes Stadium, where Colorado State University formerly played football; they did a good job cleaning it up after demolition. I liked the wispy, parallel clouds, and of course the colors, and this became my favorite image of the week.

Wispy Clouds
Fujifilm X-T2, Fujinon XF 18-55 f/2.8-4 R LM OIS at 18mm, f/8 at 1/640, ISO 400.
Digital Darkroom. Only minor adjustments this time. Popped up the whites to +28 and lowered the blacks a bit to go along with that. Boosted up clarity (+35) and dehaze (+13) to add detail, and wrapped it up by nudging the white balance to warm up the image.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
