Another cold morning walking Nate to the school bus stop. This isn’t the first time I found pictures at the bus stop. Much like the last image, this was looking down at my feet at just the right time. This lightly frosted conifer became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. I started with cropping the image down to remove other pavement detritus. After that, only a few changes were needed. I pushed contrast (+26) and nudged up exposure by a quarter stop. I then lowered clarity globally (-22), and brushed over the branch to increase clarity (+70). My goal was sharpen the branch, and soften the pavement.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
