After the gloom of winter, it was great to see flowers blooming. Pasque Flowers are one of the first to bloom in the spring, and this photo of a pair in my backyard became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. I started with the usual adjustments to contrast, highlights, and shadows. I then used a brush on the actual flowers themselves, increasing texture and clarity. Had I made these adjustments globally it would have added detail in the blurry leaves.
