This week took us on a family adventure- lunch and shopping in Old Town Fort Collins. We rode bikes downtown, got takeout lunch, and ate it outside. We then masked up and visited a small number of stores in an attempt to help local businesses. As I was eating lunch, my son started asking me questions about the fire escape on the other side of the alley. Although the overall view was a little bland, I loved the lines of the brick, the overhead wires, and the fire escape, and this became my favorite image of the week.

Well. I guess COVID-19 is good for something. I’m now caught up on WIRR posts for the first time in many years. With that mission accomplished, expect to see more trip stories in the weeks ahead. Thanks for reading!
Digital Darkroom. Shot at close range, I needed Lightroom’s Transform tools to provide some semblance of regular geometry. This didn’t really do a lot of good, but I liked the angular lines. After cropping, I had some fun, bringing the image into Arista Oil to convert the photo into an expressionist painting.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
