On a hot summer evening, while watering the flower pots, I looked up into the sky to see a single tiny cloud, aglow with sunset light. This became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. I started processing by using Lightroom’s Artistic 02 development profile. This increased the purple glow of the image. I increased exposure, contrast, and dehaze. I experimented with increasing clarity, but didn’t like the look, and ended up decreasing it instead. Boosting the saturation, I liked everything except the sky. To remove some of the purple, I changed the hue of the blue sky to bring it back.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
