On Sunday night of this week, we joined some friends at the Fort Collins Foxes game. We rode our bikes of course, and the quality of light on the way home was exceptional. After getting home, the sun continued to set, and the exceptional light lit up a spectacular cloud. Instagram the next day was flooded with images of this cloud, as every Fort Collins photographer was out shooting it. This view is slightly different than most of the photos out there, and it became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. For this image, I made a typical set of adjustments- increase contrast, highlights, texture, and dehaze; decrease shadows. I also used the Velvia film emulation.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
