The hike out took us through fields of corn lilies, glowing with sunlight.

When we returned to the Jeep, we found sunflower seeds scattered everywhere in the car. It seems a chipmunk had invaded and spent some quality time in there. The varmint also found a way out of the Jeep, as we never saw him.

After the hike, we spent a relaxing night at a nearby campground. A steep trail and a small cliff scramble (with a fixed rope to help), brought us down to the river. I introduced Nate to skinny dipping and we washed off in the icy cold water. We relaxed with a macaroni and cheese dinner, and plotted our next move.
