Another mid-afternoon walk around the block, another lucky shot. Of course, when you walk around the block on an almost-daily basis, it isn’t really luck. Today this gorgeous motorcycle was parked right in front of this complementarily-colored mural- jackpot! This became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. A harsh midday son made this image a bit challenging to process. The combination of glittering bright chrome and deep shadows was a lot to overcome. I tapped up exposure a bit, increased contrast, shadows, and whites, while lowering highlights and blacks. On the bike itself, I increased shadows and clarity.
