This week saw me wandering the streets of Fort Collins with my camera in the afternoon. Lots to see as always, and my eyes alighted on a classic car, the Ford Galaxie. Now I’ve never owned or even driven a Galaxie, but I cannot help think of the Blind Melon song. The song went through my head as I pushed the shutter on what became my favorite image of the week.

p.s. I wrote this blog post while listening to the Blind Melon song. Of course.
Digital Darkroom. Just a few changes to soften and accentuate the soft colors- contrast +22, highlights -20, shadows +25, and clarity +16. I also used the repair tool to remove an object that intruded into the frame.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
I’ve never driven one, but I’ve been in the back seat — this is the car my grandparents had when I was around 8-10 years old. The rear fins were completely awesome.
Awesome!
