After skiing at Snowy Range, the drive home takes us along Wyoming 130 back to Laramie. The late afternoon light along this stretch of road is always spectacular- golden grass partially covered with snow, with blue skies above. I’ve stopped for many a photo on the ride home. This time I didn’t stop, but played around with the Slow Shutter Cam app on my phone, using intentional camera motion to blur the scene into an impressionism painting. This became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. For the most part I liked this image straight out of the camera. I did warm it up a bit (temp +6), and increase vibrance (+18) and whites (+49). I lowered blacks (-9) and made the softness even softer by lowering clarity (-21)
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
