As I build up a collection of ceiling lamp pictures, I have developed a habit of always looking up in restaurants. This shot became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. Unsurprisingly, my development here was about removing the distractions behind the lamp and maximizing the colors and texture. I lowered exposure by half a stop, and then lowered blacks (-81) and shadows (-75). I increased contrast, highlights, and white, along with texture, clarity, dehaze, and saturation.

I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
