This weekend I went for a bike ride up Rist Canyon. After climbing to Whale Rock, I took a small loop past Noosa. Out in a field is a large bus, painted a brilliant blue. I don’t know anything about this bus- although it looks a bit like a home, and the thing on top could be from a boat. Or another bus? In any event, I liked the vibrant blue, and this became my favorite image of the week.

Digital Darkroom. Most of the image was processed using “the usual” landscape settings (see past WIRR posts for details). I used +25 dehaze on the sky, and painted a brush across the bus chrome, lowering exposure and highlights to prevent burnout. I boosted the saturation on the bus.
WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
