This weekend took us on a long-awaited backpack. We headed for Kelly Lake in the Colorado State Forest. Nate and I had been there once before, but this was going to be Dorinna’s first trip. Unfortunately, Nate got a stomach ache, and we didn’t make it all the way to the lake. After we set up camp and nap-time started, I walked up to the top of the pass and shot some images. This photo of the Rawah range from the pass became my favorite image of the week.

WIRR stands for Weekly Image Rich Ruh. This regular feature on Das Has von Ruh will show and describe my favorite photo created during this weekly period. My weeks start on Mondays, as does the WIRR. I’m hoping to include commentary on the story, the setting, the specs, or the sentiments, depending on the circumstances.
